Pursuant to Section 11.1825, Texas Property Tax Code, the McLennan County Appraisal District gives public notice of the capitalization rate utilized for the 2009 tax year. A rate between 9.0% and 10.0% will be used to appraise properties receiving an exemption under this section. The individual characteristics of each property can have an impact on the valuation of the property. Adjustments may be made based upon specific property information available to the chief appraiser.
